Meet the Frisco Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Frisco

The crew that shows up at your Frisco gate is the same crew that’s been turning wrenches on North Texas ironwork for years. We’re not a rotating cast of subcontractors. Adrian built this team from commercial access-control sites and residential service calls around Frisco, Little Elm, and The Colony, and most of us have worked together since before the company carried a residential book. What unites us is simple: we write the price down before the work starts, we photograph what we touched before we leave, and we answer when you call, whatever time that is.

Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has been with Vance Gate Repair since 2016, the year we started carrying a full residential book in Frisco. He came up through commercial access-control installation, which means he’s the guy who can trace a low-voltage short through a gate operator that three other companies diagnosed as “needs a new board.” He holds manufacturer certifications from LiftMaster, FAAC, and DoorKing, and he’s the first call for swing-gate geometry problems that require shimming a post to get a clean latch. On weekends, Marcus is either under a Jeep Wrangler in his driveway or at a soccer field in McKinney, depending on the season.

Dana R. – Senior Installer

Dana runs our tear-out and new-set work: gate installation, post setting, weld-and-fab on ornamental steel, and retrofits where an old manual gate is getting an operator for the first time. She’s a certified welder with thirteen years in architectural metalwork, and she’s the reason our welded repairs look like they belonged to the gate from the start. Dana’s specialty is the problem every installer dreads: a gate that was never square on the posts to begin with, so the hinges bind and the operator fights itself. She’s the only person on the crew who owns a portable band saw and enjoys using it. Outside work, Dana fires ceramics and keeps bees in Prosper.

Elena S. – Service Coordinator

Elena is the live voice on the phone at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday and 3 a.m. on a Sunday, because that’s how the phones work here: someone answers, every hour, every day. She’s been dispatching for field-service companies since 2012, and before that she worked the parts counter at a gate-supply warehouse in Garland, so she can often tell a homeowner over the phone whether a problem sounds like a limit switch, a photo-eye alignment, or a dead capacitor, and what it’ll probably cost to make right. Elena keeps the schedule honest, which is why you’ll get a confirmed arrival window before a technician’s name and photo are texted to your phone. She lives in Frisco proper, rides an old Honda CB, and is the reason our trucks carry dog treats.

Jonah P. – Apprentice

Jonah is our apprentice, which in this trade means he handles the tedious bits that make the trade possible: greasing hinges, cleaning photo-eye lenses of Texas dust, pulling wire through conduit runs, and holding the dumb end of the tape measure while Marcus remeasures a gate leaf for the third time because the post is off by a quarter degree. He’s a graduate of the welding program at Collin College and grew up working on his grandfather’s ranch gates outside Celina. Jonah is the one who hands you the photo log on the way out and walks you through what each image shows. Ask him about the biggest gate he’s helped set; he will tell you, in detail, and you will learn something about counterweights.

One Standard, Every Job

The ten home-service brands under the Haven network run on the same set of promises, and our Frisco crew enforces them on every single visit. Clause 1 means the price is in writing before any tool comes off the truck. Clause 4 means you get a photographic record of what was found, what was adjusted, and what was replaced, left with you and filed in the job record. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise means if a repair fails inside a year, we’re back to make it right at no charge. It’s not a speech we give; it’s a checklist we work from.
